‘Shabby Chic’ wedding ideas – part two!

Having a ‘shabby chic’ theme to your wedding has become increasingly popular over the last 18months, and I’ve noticed a massive increase in us Brides using this theme to style our wedding day since I’ve been planning my wedding!

This is no surprise though, as it is honestly one of the easiest, but most beautiful themes you could possibly style your big day around! What’s not to love about the mix of vintage centrepieces, subtle, romantic colours and loads of DIY?!  Having a shabby chic theme is also extremely affordable; you only need to buy a few pieces, and the rest will fall into place with a bit of DIY!!

If you’re looking for ideas on how to style your day, Martha Stewart’s website is fab!! Not only is there load of craft ideas with step-by-step guides on how to make them, but she also has a section where you can download templates for free! I downloaded her letter templates so that I can make a hanging sign for our venue; they come in 6 different styles to choose from, and would look perfect along with other shabby chic decorations!

I’ve mentioned the website Wedding Chicks before – this site has loads of photo inspiration from real bride’s weddings, and also has a section dedicated to stylish, vintage inspired FREE downloads! You can get invitationtemplates, ‘will you be my bridesmaid’ templates, and you cancreate choose the colours for your own personalised wedding logo! Needless to say, I’ve spent quite a lot of time downloading freebies from this site…

Anyway, onto some pictures…

    • Hi Monique,

Those plates unfortunately are from America, but I saw some quite similar ones a couple of weeks back in a few different shops; Wilkinsons, Altons Garden Centre and John Lewis!!

      Hope that helps!!
